Positive air pressure
Sterile processing definition
Positive air pressure means a room's air pressure is higher than the surrounding areas, so air flows out of the room, keeping dust and contaminants from entering. In sterile processing, the preparation and packaging area and sterile storage are kept at positive pressure to protect clean and sterile items.
